Code Empire Tycoon · Effective 19 October 2026

Previous versions: 18 October 2026 · 7 October 2026

In short

  • No accounts. The game never asks for your email address, contacts, photos or precise location.
  • Your progress stays on your phone and, if iCloud is on, in your own iCloud account; in the web demo, only in your browser. I can’t see it.
  • Game Center is optional. Your scores may be visible to other players under your nickname.
  • I measure how the game is played with Google Firebase Analytics; Google AdMob shows the ads.
  • Apple takes the payment; I never see your payment details.
  • I do not sell your personal information.

1. What this policy covers

Code Empire Tycoon (“the game”) is made by Çağlayan Sancaktar, an independent developer (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what information the game and this website use, why, and the choices you have. I am the data controller under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK. Questions: caglayansancaktar@hotmail.com.

2. Your game progress: on your phone and in your own iCloud

The name you give your developer, your progress and your settings are saved on your device. The game has no accounts and never asks for your email address, contacts, photos or precise location.

If your iPhone is signed in to iCloud, the game writes a copy of your save to Apple’s iCloud storage, in your own Apple Account, every so often. That lets you carry on where you left off on a new phone, or after deleting and reinstalling the game. The copy lives in your iCloud account; I cannot access it and it is not sent to me. Apple stores and processes iCloud data: Apple’s Privacy Policy.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, the save stays only on your phone and is deleted when you delete the game.

3. Game Center

For achievements and leaderboards the game uses Apple’s Game Center. Game Center is optional; you don’t need it to play.

If you are signed in to Game Center on your phone, the game sends Game Center the achievements you earn and two scores: your lifetime earnings and your tap count. Your scores may be shown to other players on the leaderboards together with your Game Center nickname; like anyone, I can see them there. Nothing else from Game Center is sent to me. Choose who can see what in iPhone Settings → Game Center.

4. Notifications

If you allow it, the game shows you reminders: when the cash box is full, when your daily reward is ready and when it’s happy hour. These are local notifications scheduled by your phone itself; they don’t come from a server and nothing about you leaves your phone for them. None arrive between 22:00 and 09:00.

Turn them off in the game under Settings → Notifications, or in iPhone Settings → Code Empire → Notifications.

5. Analytics (Google Firebase)

To understand how the game is played and to improve it, the game uses Google Firebase Analytics. It records gameplay events (for example a finished job, a purchased upgrade, a completed tutorial step or which diamond pack was bought) together with technical information: device model, operating system and app version, language, an app-instance identifier, and the approximate region (country and city) derived from your IP address. Your payment details are not part of it.

This information is not used to identify you personally. Google keeps it for a limited time (up to 14 months). See Google’s Privacy Policy.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game is free and shows ads through Google AdMob: optional ads you choose to watch for a reward, and occasional ads between scenes. To show and measure ads, Google may process your IP address, device information, ad interactions and — only if you allow it — your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA).

  • On iOS the game asks for permission before using the advertising identifier (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, ads are not personalised with it.
  • In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a consent form from Google asks for your choice the first time. You can change it at any time in the game under Settings → Privacy settings.

See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

7. Purchases

Purchases in the game go through Apple’s App Store:

  • Remove Ads (one-time): removes the ads between scenes.
  • Starter Pack (one-time): diamonds, a permanent golden computer and a limited time of 2× income.
  • Diamond packs (consumable): in-game diamonds.

Apple handles the payment; I never see your payment details. To deliver what you bought and to restore one-time purchases on a new device, the game receives only a confirmation that the purchase was made, which it checks with Apple. Apple handles refunds.

8. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact me and it will be deleted.

9. This website

This site runs on Google Firebase Hosting. It has no cookies, no analytics, no ads and no content embedded from other sites; even the fonts load from the site itself. To deliver the pages, Google briefly processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details in its server logs: Privacy and security in Firebase. For the web demo’s save, see Playing in the browser.

If you email me, I use your address and message only to reply to you.

10. Playing in the browser

New

The demo on the Play on the web page keeps your progress only in the local storage (localStorage) your browser sets aside for this site. The save is never sent to me or to any server, and it isn’t shared with the game on your phone.

  • No ads, no purchases and no analytics: Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics don’t run in the browser.
  • iCloud, Game Center and notifications are in the app only.
  • Clearing your browser’s data for this site deletes the save; a save made in a private window is gone when you close the window.

11. Your rights and choices

  • Turn off tracking any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Change your ad consent in the game under Settings → Privacy settings (where it applies).
  • Turn off notifications in the game or in iPhone Settings.
  • Manage what Game Center shares in iPhone Settings → Game Center.
  • Settings → Start over in the game writes a new game over your save on your phone and in iCloud. Deleting the game deletes the save on your phone; the iCloud copy stays in your Apple Account. Reinstall the game and you carry on from that copy; if you don’t want your old progress to stay in iCloud either, tap Start over before deleting the game.
  • Ask for access to or deletion of analytics data linked to your device, or exercise your rights under the GDPR or Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), by writing to caglayansancaktar@hotmail.com.

I do not sell your personal information.

12. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date; earlier versions are linked at the top of the page. New in this version: the browser demo (Playing in the browser). Added in the 18 October 2026 version: iCloud saves, Game Center, notifications, new purchases and this website.
